I’m at the Clubhouse Music Venue in Tempe, AZ listening to Youth Group. They’re band #2 and followed “&” and are right before “The Get Up Kids”.

I’m so psyched right now. I’m about 4 jager bombs in to this show and not only am I a bit buzzy, but, I was able to purchase a robotic Get Up Kids t-shirt from the merch booth before they sold out XL is hard to come by late in a show, but easy if you get in first.

The first band I hadn’t heard of prior to coming to this show, but that’s not for lack of awesomeness. “&” is truly an awesome band and I’m contemplating buying one of their shirts in baby blue. (Green doesn’t really work for me)

So far, this night has been nothing but an epic win.

The bartender recognized me even tho it’s been at least 10 months since I’ve been to this venue. I honestly believe its completely due to my belief that a merry leprachaun lives under their bar and passes out drinks to the bartender when they go down there.

Anyways… I might post an update to this once “The Get Up Kids” come on.. If I don’t, believe me, it’s not because they sucked. It’s likely because they rocked and the vibe from this post was ALREADY at an all time high that a post from the impending appearance of the headlining band couldn’t push it up any higher.

I’m at my son Nathan’s 1st baseball game. He’s signed up in a “Dynamite” league which I believe is a spin-off of the Cal Ripken little league.

My sons team shut out the other team in the 1st inning and scored 4 runs.

It’s inning two. We’ll see what happens.

So I’m finallly deciding to get off my ass and drop the extra 20lbs I’ve been dragging around with me. It’s time to “bring sexy back” ok that wasn’t called for, at all. So what.

So here I am, in a gym on a treadmill. Cardio is supposedly the key to any weight loss effort along with a good diet. Cardio now, researching a good diet tonight.

I’m going to begin training at this dojo in the east valley that uses this MMA system called “10th Planet”. It’s that UFC shit and I’m so ready for that . I’ve taken martial arts off and on my whole life and I’m pretty psyched to learn something that is such a mix of various fighting styles.

Will post an update about that this week sometime when I go down there to check it out. If your curious, google “10th planet arizona” and you’ll pull up the spot I’ll be at.

Signing off for now. Treadmill is starting to go fast again and typing and running is a recipe for disaster.

I’m here @ club myst in scottsdale. The vibe here is very ‘happy birthday’ for a 21-24 year old. This is not a bad thing.

I’m chilling it up with one of my old producer buddies, Carlos (aka Strida Hiryu). We haven’t hung out in a while so it was dope to get an invite outta the blue.

This place has a pretty cool sound system. I can FEEL bass, which is always good. The treble isn’t tinny at all.

The dress code isn’t crazy. I’m in a button up, some jeans and some black vans and It’s a-ok! People ARE a tad dressy off and on depending on the crowd, so it’s a bit of a mix.

The DJ is playing everything from Prince to Pitbull and anything with a decent beat in between.

Will post more later if anything pops up that’s interesting to me. Oh one last thing.

Do you know those photos you see of people on their facebook of them ‘up in the vip’? I must have seen at least 10 of those photos taken tonight

So throughout the night, I kept seeing these drinks all lit up and dry ice smoking out the top. I figured “aha! Club MYST”. So, I had to order one. I ordered a “Mysty Cuervo”. It had two glowsticks inside and was smoking. I took a few sips and was holding the thing and all of a sudden my hand was wet. I looked down and the thing was bubbling out the straw and all over itself and me.

If you order one a drink with dry ice bubbling out the top, keep drinking it until the dry ice finishes up or it’ll end up on you .

I’m laying in bed with my brand new Blackberry Tour. It arrived today around 10:30am and I am only just now getting done tweaking it.

I was thinking about things I do on the computer that I currently can’t do from my phone, and I was like ‘a-ha! I don’t update my blog on my phone.’. So.. one google search later, here I am with the ‘beta’ version of the WordPress for Blackberry app. So far, I gotta say it’s pretty damn awesome.

The first screen had this option to “add your blog” and that bit went through really easy

Anyways, this is probably the only post I’ll make on the topic of posting. I just thought this little app was dope and I thought I’d share.

Hey All,

This is the first post in a series of posts to follow that will detail some interesting facts about people I’ve learned through eavesdropping.  Cynicism on my part to be included.

So I’m outside and I overhear a woman talking to a coworker about her upcoming wedding.  She’s sort of discussing it as if it was a business transaction.  Her future husband is apparently experiencing “cold feet” and quite a bit of stress from multiple family members on both sides about the upcoming wedding.  On top of the stress from the wedding, it turns out that she is really pushing him to knock her up and have a baby – ASAP.

“He just needs to sleep on it”, she says.  Four hours of sleep is all he needs to get over his cold feet and apprehension about a yet to be conceived future baby.  All of this on top of this guy just starting a Masters program at a local college.

I guess there’s more of a sense of urgency when you have a specific DATE locked in for a wedding.  Although from the sound of things, a venue hadn’t been chosen?

My wife and I kind of just did our own thing and eloped.

Why did I bother posting this?  I have no fucking idea.  I was just THERE and this woman was speaking loud enough where it was hard to ignore her conversation.  Eavesdropping is considered rude, I guess.  At the same time, though – I didn’t request to be privy to these details.  They just wandered into my earshot.

IMO, this woman is just marriage hungry.  ”It’s his first marriage” she said.  If it goes how I think it’s going to go based on her general attitude towards the marriage and future baby, it will likely not be his last.

If it feels like you’re rushing him, YOU ARE.  If he has ‘cold feet’, there is a reason.
